CHARACTER
NAME: Soiree Meira
FANDOM: The King of Fighters

CANON SYNOPSIS:
Soiree is congenial, generous, and passionate, but he is also a hot trigger of temper. He has always idolized his older twin brother, Alba, whom was far more intelligent than he was and often acted as the "leader" of the two. At the age of three, the twins lost their parents to an accident and was raised in an orphanage in Germany along with Alba. The day he turned 14, he escaped the orphanage together with his brother and settled in in the crime- ridden American city of Southtown. Fate, the city's major crime boss at that time, took them under his wing, which greatly changed the often combative and wary attitude the youngins had towatds adults. When the major gang war started, Soiree supported his brother Alba's bid for power against his rival Duke. The two continue to work within Southtown to further Fate's orighinal dream of a peaceful city.

His official nickname is "The Angel of Evening" or "The Twilight Angel", and he practices a style of Shoot Capoeira that he developed himself. He is also noted for his skill in darts and silversmithing.

ONORATA-VERSE BACKGROUND:
The Meira twins were orphaned when their parents were killed in the middle of a gang-based crossfire. They were taken in to a Monacelle owned orphanage in Reggio Calabria that was more or less a training center for cannon fodder soldiers. He was taught how to fight and how to use a gun, and at age 14, he and his brother Alba were taken in by a Monacello Consigliere named Fate. Fate, unlike most involved in the mafia, was a kind man whom valued honor and generosity within Monacello territory and he passed these ideals on to Alba and Soiree.

It became clear, soon enough, that there was a great difference in the sort of specialties Soiree and Alba had. While they were both skilled fighters, Soiree lacked Alba's inteligence and leadership skills. Soiree had long accepted that he would never be anything but a soldier within the family, but he was fine with that. He supported Alba when Fate announced his retirement, naming his adopted son Alba as his successor. Since then, Soiree has been intensely loyal to his brother, even more so than the family itself. This attitude only further inhibits his ability to earn rank, though.

Like Alba, Soiree underwent levels of genetic engineering during his time as a Soldier. This greatly enhanced his combat ability in hand to hand situations, and Soiree often arrogantly "accidentally" leaves his gun behind when going into battle so that he can experience the fight with his bare hands. His fighting abilities earned him the nickname "Angelo della Sera" or the Angel of Evening.
